We show off the work of Paul Camo of Studio Camo in this edition of our artist profiles.
Studio Camo is a branding and graphic design studio who collaborate with large companies and independent brands in entertainment, music, leisure and retail.
Their client list includes Warner Music, The O2, Nike, SSE Wembley Arena, AEG Europe, London Borough of Ealing, Archive DNA, Turner Contemporary, People Dem Collective, Verdant Brewery, Northdown Brewery, Moshi Moshi Records, and MIC Records.
Paul says of the collaboration with Northdown Brewery:
I'm always happy to work with independent brands , especially when the people behind the brand are good people and the product is of a brilliant standard. The fact its local too made it a no brainer and a privilege to accept the invite to design a can.
I'm really happy with the result and thoroughly enjoyed the processes I went through to get to the final design. I wanted to create a design that used shapes and patterns from objects that I found whilst walking on various local beaches around Margate/ Thanet. Although there was an element of chance because I didn't if or what I'd find I was still very deliberate in my choices, because there needed to be a harmony when all the objects were arranged together.
